Protek Wood Stain and Protect is a high-quality, multi-purpose wood stain that waterproofs, nourishes and protects a wide range of exterior timber, masonry and terracotta. Once dry, it is safe for children, animals and plants, making it the perfect choice to protect your Everest Shed for years to come.
Wood protectors can be used like traditional garden paint to add a splash of colour to your garden building with the added benefit of waterproofing the timber and prolonging its lifespan by resisting ultraviolet rays and helping to protect it from the ravages of the weather.
You should treat the timber of your shed annually to protect it from the elements and prolong the lifespan of the building. Ensuring that a protective treatment is regularly applied is also a requirement of the 10-year guarantee, see here for more details.
Preparation
Surfaces should be scrubbed with a stiff brush and warm soapy water to remove any old treatments, make sure that all mould or algae is removed, then rinse well and allow timber to dry. It is recommend you use a wood preserver before applying.
Application
We recommend that you apply 2 coats of wood stain, the application of a third coat will enhance the depth of colour. Always allow the previous coat to dry completely before applying the next. Drips can be cleaned with warm water while the paint is still wet.
Keep small children and animals away from freshly painted surfaces for 48 hours or until the surfaces are completely dry.
